What havent I tried,
I have left it in over night, heated the headlots and lots,
brained, pulled it round the tub, left in a dark area with it,
Put her in a tiny cadbury tub [she is in it now],,
keep her in the dark 24/7 [worked for a friend-she is in dark now]

and a few more things i cant mind.

great job paul

i fed some live and others D/F, the way i look at it , is i have paid 400-500 on a snake then i want it to live (same goes if i had spent 0) an dif the only way it will eat is live then so it is.

I do agree with the fact that a adult rats can cause injuries to the snake so for this reason i will try to only give small or baby rats cos if a lar royal wont eat it generally will go for a bit longer than say a snake of 150grs

just my veiw Laughing

@lynne i know 1st hand what a rat can do to a snake and to us as well. not so long ago a really large rat (4 my biggest boa female) didn't agree with being food, so it attacked my boa. i hurried 2 get it out and it just went 4 me. got 2 very deep bites and had 2 be operated on 1 week later coz of infection due 2 the bite! i've been trying since 2 get (at least) her and the others 2 accept dead prey but so far no luck. but i am gonna keep trying en hopefully 1 day it will pay off Wink

try poking the foods eyes out. i read somewhere that this guy did this and it ate. have you tried, differant colours of rats/mice. my cinny will only eat white. have you tried rats, mice, gerblis. try dipping heads in chicken soup. qausimodo got results with salmon with her hoggies. fresh kill. i even took kya for a run in the car, cause the last time i remembered her eating was the day she arrived and that was after a long car journey.

fresh kill is when you kill it and feed straight away. i couldnt do it!!!! give the eye thing a go, you never know, just burst them! and give the chicken soup thing a go too, i have heard people saying tuna works too. you could also wrap the mouse or rat in dirty mouse or rat bedding. this makes the smell stronger.

gerbils r know 2 be the most favourite food of royals, so that might work. also u can try it with a chick. royals in the wild eat baby birds, so u can try 2 have it eat a baby chick.

get some dirty mouse bedding from mark!!!! he MUST have some. chicks are quite large for pauls snake bumblebee, but i suppose you could try a leg paul!! if she has been in dark for a wee while and is in her hide, try dragging the mouse past the hide entrance with tongs. you really have to try everything, cause you never know just what will make her pounce. oh and lizard scent.
