OOOHHH I would love a little pet mole- a little gentleman in a velvet coat. Might seem a stupid question but- would it be possible or even legal to keep one in captivity?Raptor- trust me you dont want a badger- when I worked at the owl centre, one of my duties was to work in the wildlife hospital. We had a badger come in and in all truth every time you went in to feed it or clean him out- you took your life in your hands. The pen he was in had to have a re enforced concrete floor to stop him digging his way out. When he was eventually released back into the wild and I was sterilising the pen I saw deep, very deep gouges on the wall behind his bed. Had he been with us much longer he would eventually have clawed his way straight through the wall. Nice thing he was though- sadly came in as a RTA.

Strangely, I think thats part of the reason I'd like one I'd also love either a quoll or a tasmanian devil, but I'd need to upgrade to a private zoo licence for that & I wont pay the fee they want! _________________ www.theherphouse.com & http://alleycatz.curvedspaces.com -our homes away from home! |
