yes, you dip the food items heads in them. didnt try dog food though. damn!!! have you not heard off these?

thanks everyone. one question though. i have been popping rat fuzzies etc in with her some nights on the off chance they might be gone in morning. i have some gerbils in freezer, but they are huge. would cutting a bit off one maybe tempt her?

well they didnt work with her anyway. i even worked out that last time she ate herself was after a long car drive, and took her for a run. that didnt work either lol. but you get to the stage you will try anything.

weighed her today and she has put on another 2 grams, not a lot, but she put it on and didny take it off!

Vixen I admire your loving concern for the wee snake and wish you all the very best with her. I have certainly heard of the fish oil trick and have used it to get a Hognose started.

thanks quasi. yes iv heard off tuna, only i didnt have any tuna when i tried it so i opened tin off salmon, she got the oil and the cats got the salmon. only that didnt work either. lol. and chicken soup. im hoping to only have to tube feed her till she has a bit off weight on then i will try assisting again. but thanks for your kind words.

just an update. kya has eaten two mice on her own, both strikes, and tonight ate a rat pup, on her own and another strike. am so proud of her, she has had a shed last week, and now weighs 120 grams.
