I have already posted this on another cham thread but I like it so am posting it again
Quite coincedently I was reading a herp book the other day and the preface seemed very apt to me and made me think of this forum.
Obviously the preface refers to the book but you will see what I am getting at.
Extract taken from The Biology, Husbandry and Health Care of Reptiles: Lowell Ackerman, DVM PhD.
Because reptile care if far from a standardised science, you will find some differences in approaches and opinions amongst the different authors. Far from being a problem, this is a wonderful forum to express different views and explore different ideas. Controversy in science is a good thing- it stops us from being complacent and keeps us searching for the real answers. Keep this in mind while reading this book and discussing the contents with others. I hope this book keeps you asking important questions and searching for the truth. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk
