I picked up my first female Bredl's python on the weekend, she is 50% Henric Afors bloodline and 50% from a wild caught animal (male) siezed at customs.
Can i ask, seeing the size of the two year old female, what you consider to be the minimum age for breeding if fed well? What size/weight do you recommend?
Regards

Glad you got the bredl you wanted Tariq..may I ask the breeder pm me if you wish..Just curious but if seized at customs would they be allowed to release the animal to a private breeder?..Also very lucky to get a single female too. |

My suggestion would be not to rush it. You will both benefit waiting until she is good and ready at a normal speed. Most boids are ready at around 3 years, work on that bench mark and you'll both be fine _________________ TFA

Thanks for all the replies (and thanks for answering the questions Stu, you know I am a little slow on these forums sometimes).
They really are amazing snakes to keep. Just need to look forward to next breeding season.
