haven't actually got it yet mate, it shud be here this time next week.
but i will be putting some test shots up as soon as poss.
how nessesary is a converter? i havnt got one but im wondering if the shots will be as good without one.

depends what convertor and what you want to do if you need it to be longer then it will help but if you want the best results at longer focal lengths then there is no better option than a longer lens  _________________ I’m Just So Misunderstood

As Paul says if you constantly need the extra reach then a larger zoom or prime will be needed for best results but if you only occasionally need a little extra reach then a converter is fine..image quality wont be as good as a dedicated lens but will give you some decent pics.. _________________

I find kenko ones to be very good and a lot less than the canon ones they also do very well on all the tests ive seen on them so id go with them unless you feel rich and then id go for the canon stick with a 1.4x and you should have a good level of flexibility _________________ I’m Just So Misunderstood

Pretty sure Paul could steer you in the right direction for a decent converter for the canon..I know kenko make some good ones and pretty sure Paul has one..  _________________

ok cool, dont think im gonna rush into a converter just yet, but in the near future im sure i will.
