Could be Stu
I have seen the "King greys" too, well, I have seen one! Odd looking with the pink breast feathers. Not seen any with orange though! _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

Thanks for posting pics of Wilfie. I love Afie Grays. Would love to get another but still can't really face it after my first one died. Even though it was a good few years back now.
Wilfie looks in tip top condition well done mate, obviously well cared for, and 19! Top stuff Pete. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

Can`t imagine life without him to be honest. He hasn`t been shut in his cage once in the last year four years, apart from if something big like furniture is delivered to the house which makes him panic, and has one hell of a vocabulary.
Typical African Grey, a right attention seeker. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

The pink/red/orange feathers have been linked to certain brands and ingredients in various foods - as well as a diet high in beta-carotene.
Particularly, if you have a bird with -low- beta carotene diet, their feathers will be a lot duller and greyer overall, even the tailfeathers, than a bird with a higher quality diet. _________________ - Ssthisto

Mine has been on the same high quality diet since I had him/her...Just seems weird for one single orange feather to appear? _________________

Ah yes, the greys. A few years back, one of my tenants had one and he would often bring him to work with him. He was the weather man on TV. That bird was so smart and polite too. He would say things like "God bless you" "I love you" and whissle at you then say "You are pretty". People enjoyed seeing him on TV. He stop going to work with my tenant when the people at work taught the bird to say "F--k you" and the bird said it on air. My tenant was soooo embarased. |
