I agree that my way is now a lot cheaper for me to muck about. That delete button is great and free.
But you got me wrong. These picture are great. I really think the subject doesn't matter. I just love a good picture. And you take a great picture. I think that is why I brought a camera. It was seeing what you could do made me want to go out with something half decent. I have taken pictures with my camera and I just think MINE are rubbish so I delete them all.
My problem is this.. Are mine all rubbish or am I just unsure what a good picture should contain? I think I will have to seek out a photo class to get an idea of what I am after.
Also.. The prices you pay for lenses has just scared me. _________________ Joey (From Sunny Clacton-on-Sea)

Cheers Joe..Basically what I aim for is the subject to be nice and sharply focused(I always try and focus on the eyes) although some of these are "off" a bit..then decide what depth of field you want...If say you want the whole of a snakes head in focus you will need a smaller aperture (F number) dependant on how close you are..the closer you are more likely you will need high f numbers to keep everything in focus...and use a tripod where you can it makes a lot of difference!! Especially in macro. _________________

Cheers Stu. I am trying to keep the head in focus and I have been aiming for the eye. Maybe I can learn this yet.
I also had a look at some tripods the other day. Can you suggest a 'cheap' one although after that lens you used I really don't think you know what 'cheap' means. HeHe. I thought any tripod would be good for me as I think I only want to lock it in place and not pan with it yet.
Also... Thanks again for recommending the Nikon D60. I am amazed at just what it can do for a fairly good price.
I have a couple of owl pics under my SLR tread. These I also would delete but just wanted your comments. _________________ Joey (From Sunny Clacton-on-Sea)

Your welcome Joe...as for tripods I would look to spend around £100 and then decide what head you want on it..There are cheaper tripods about but normally the cheaper they are the flimsier they are..Whats your budget and I will have a look around for you. _________________
