BOYS, behave yourselves Granny has spoken
One is completely out and in its own little tub, aaaaah, and another four are well on their way out. Hang on a moment, I will dash into the rep., room and have another look.
OK, two are now in their own tubs with three part-way out of their eggs. I have not incubated them at a very high temp., about 80ish, and they took 53 days before the first little nose appeared - will probably be up to a week before they are all out and in their tubs. Apparently incubating at lower temps., helps to get more females. We shall see when they are all out and can be sexed. Not sure about it although it works with Geckos I believe.
Paul I did not realise that it was your original suggestion to mix blood lines, well done.
This first Hoggie clutch will not be sold for at LEAST a month, until they are all shed and feeding well on frozen / thawed pinkies. Plenty of time to sort out who is having what. Will be delighted to get really nice homes for them all 'cos they are my wee babies.... |

Just a quick update. 18 babies have now hatched, one of these still half in its egg the rest in their individual boxes. One egg yet to pip. Wanted to let peeps know not to worry if their clutches of eggs take a while to hatch as mine have - leave them to get on with it in their own time.
Very happy Granny Sue Now where did I put all of the bibs ? |
