Awesome snakes mate...and yes photobucket is great..from a photography point of view they do look a tad out of focus...  _________________

the pics where taken in auto focus on aperture priority,the focus was aimed at the head area on all the snakes i think they where all f10.any hints or tips would be most graciously received  _________________ www.jamieswordsreptiles.com |

ive just checked them and the mojave has s/s 1/13s ap f10.pastel ss 1/30s ap f8.pog male ss 1/20s ap f11.and pog female ss 1/3s ap f22 thats a mixed bag innit thats just so typical me and my 1 second concentration band  _________________ www.jamieswordsreptiles.com |

Yup very slow shutter speeds mate..thats your answer..try manual mode and set shutter speed to 1/100 or so,with ya flash should work fine.
Adjust flash compensation and see how ya go _________________
