he is same but is very athletic looking with all the excersise he gets prowling for more food. he is very long though, this could be a spider trait as well i suppose. i just love spiders and anything with spider in it.

and he is very affectionate too. is yours sue???

He was quite shy at first, went into a ball if held, but I have had him for 4 months now and he is fine. I would not call him affectionate but he is very gentle if still a bit shy. Just fed him a nice sized rat and he is one happy boy. Not sure if he is about right / large / small for his age but if he continues as he is, he should be well up to breeding size this coming season. Do not believe in pushing food down him, he has one food item at a time, but if he is hungry then I feed him Wink

Laughing Laughing at Lynne. I think that larger small rat sums it up nicely. Do not weigh them but they are a reasonable size. Go on Lynne, make me feel a bad Mother and tell me what your boy weighs....

Must thank the Moderator who changed the wording for me THANKS

My boy once ate 3 weaners in one sitting, but that was only because they were going spare and he just kept gulping them down and looking for more Embarassed Usually mine has a large small rat but occasionally he gets a small medium rat, my youngest snakes get a size that doesn;t leave much of a bump in the middle if any, and my bigger ones get a rat that leaves a slight bump. I tend to work on their food items being no more than one and a half time their width, although in desperation on occasions they have had food items almost twice their width, but never on a regular basis. All my lot get fed every 7 days, apart from the ones that are over 1kg, and they get fed every 7 to 14 days to slow their growth so they don't poound it on too fast. Some weeks they want smaller size and some weeks they want larger size, I just had to guess whatthey want this week before raiding the freezer Laughing

Forgot to say I haven't weighed my lot for a few months, if they are eating fine and looking ok then I don't tend to bother, but I want to do it this weekend just to see who the fatties are Laughing The closer we get to breeding season the more regularly they will get weighed Very Happy

all three if my spider have strange quirky movement's,nothing freaky or over the top but then again non are what i would call regular.the best time to look for them doing is when its dark and there is just a little bit of light,i dunno why and i think it was ralph who mentioned this.i sat and watched my male spider and he was sat almost grooving with his head slightly moving from side to side Laughing i dont know what he was thinking about but he was enjoying himself by the looks of it,he's the most rock solid of my three as well.good post claire Wink
