Leo eggs will hatch on pretty much anything really its just i had better results with my other eggs that way so now do them all like it, so you could just buy the vermiculite. Hard to say about the female but she will lay plenty more so nothing to worry about.
I allways use mealworms and supplement with crickets. |

I'm using damp vermiculite in my lay boxes, and it seems to be working well so far, especially for the fatties. I tried using pearlite mixed in with my vermiculite in my incubation boxes about 25% pearlite to 75% vermiculite, but I didn't like the results much, the eggs failed but I think that could have had more to do with them being first eggs than the ratios. I liked the idea of the pearlite though as apparently it allows for better air circulation, but apparently it can also draw moisture out of the eggs, which is why I've opted now for just the vermiculite. But Jas definately seems to have VERY good results with it I'm also using equal parts of water to vermiculite by weight now, I'll let you know how it works, I was told to do it that way by someone..............................ah that would have been Jas!
Now I'm just playing the waiting game which I have to confess to being VERY bad at _________________ www.draco2.co.uk
