Females lay eggs even without males so if you don't want eggs the only real way to prevent them is not to have females, saying that as long as your female is a good size and the setup is right she shouldn't have too many probs babes so good luck for the future with both of em xxx

thanks chook. she has a year to get up to size before she will be put back in with the male, and she is growing well now so fingers crossed all will be ok. now have a year to persuade beth to sell the (hopeful) offspring
