Looking at the pictures of your little chameleon, I would say he wont last longer than week without you stepping in. I doubt enviromental changes will help at this stage the poor guy is to far gone. Personally I would force feed him daily which can be very tricky with one so small. Also give him a couple of droplets of water 3 times daily. Start force feeding by killing a few gut-loaded baby crickets, gently restrain the chameleon until he opens his mouth then place the cricket into his mouth, you will need a bit of luck on your side but just keep your fingers crossed and hope he starts eating and swallowing. Feed one cricket at a time and leave 10 -15 minute intervals before trying the next cricket. This method is always a last resort for me and is very stressfull for the chameleon but if not left to late does work.

The mark on the head, looks suspiciously like an abscess to me...if it is then you have a major problem i am sad to say..The abscess's are formed due to the chameleon having a respitory infection and it is pretty serious.

Chameleons are very very good at hiding when they are ill and often you do not know until too late. This is a natural things for them as if they acted ill in the wild they would quickly be eaten.

I really hope it's not a abscess but i am 98% sure it is...he need to be put onto antibiotics and at his age it is very risky.

if i was you id take a vist to a experienced cham keeper and ask if they would try and nurse his needs but if its a abscess you need the anti bio tics first.
just an idea

but only if someone was willing to try to help him

Sad to say but it doesn't look good for the wee felah, if it does have a RTI, respiratory tract infection, this may be due to inadequate ventilation. Between misting sessions the enclosure needs to dry out. Best bet would be a reptile vet now.

As said before when a cham closes its eyes and remains lethargic its not a good sign and often a sign that something is drastically wrong. Baby chams can go downhill fast. As Ian said when they do show signs of being unwell its usually when they are pretty far gone as they hide their symptoms until they no longer can hide them.
