Sounds good, cant wait to see the end result. Ive been pondering over making something with the old tile grout ect but not too sure, i wanted to create some sort of hollow tree with large plastic pipe to go up the corner of the viv. Maybe. |

Hi, Think you could build a hollow log/tree using the same princibles as have been used in the forums vivarium section, perhaps using chicken wire bent and formed to shape and then covered (internally/externally) in grout/cement powder mix, making sure all wire is covered. It might pay to make sure that any hollows are not inaccesable to you or your hands should you need to get in there?
Plastic pipe sounds a bit to slippery for a small monitor type which might? trap it if its too deep, just a thought _________________ http://s124.photobucket.com/albums/p17/Bird-fly/

Yeah, i was thinking the plastic would be a bit SMOOTH i was going to line the inside with something, i have brought sheets of thin cork like stuff that has a sticky back, but i don't think it would stay there long as its paper thin
I'm going to have to wait as the monitor in question is very much attached to his bamboo log at the moment but that's getting smaller each week!
Cheers for your input, when i do come up with a plan i shall stick it on here

Please excuse: my son's continuously sticky fingers, shots through mucky glass and my consistently poor camera skills.
Tail shot
Sticky fingers
I thawed out 3 fluffs one each for the acanthurus and "portioned" another for the glauerti who promptly scoffed the lot, i wont feed a lot of this to them, i'll try to stick to insect feeders but it is nice to know they'll eat them aswell _________________ http://s124.photobucket.com/albums/p17/Bird-fly/

I've seen them from 300-550 each. Sure you could get them for less if buying a few _________________ A lil bit of Madagascar

Just a few more shots,I've have moved them up to a larger tank, they certainly use all the space you give them.
I took the viv shot before i'd cleaned and replaced the water dish so its not in the photo _________________ http://s124.photobucket.com/albums/p17/Bird-fly/
