Whilst feeding just now, the mother left her baby at the roost. I quietly popped my finger across the baby`s toes and it took hold. So I took a quick snap and then popped it back on the roost whilst it`s mother munched on a mango. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

No plans for rehoming . Egyptian fruit bats live in groups of anything from 50 to over a thousand in the wild state, so very much a gregarious animal. The bats will have the run of a garage when it`s adapted for them. I just have to wait for the swallows to finish nesting in there before I can proceed . _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

What kind of lower temperatures would these take? Would they use outdoor access in warmer weather do you think? Its just I cant see 50 piling into one garage alone _________________ Interested in amphibians? Join us at Myamphibia for friendly banter, amazing pictures and great information. Here`s why I can`t see the baby in the daytime. It`s in the middle of this lot somewhere. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD
