Ok, despite being capable of original thought I'll have to agree with you all especially on the 'hunting' wild animals as a kid Funny really cos both my parents are petrified of all that crawls, slinks, scuttles and has too many legs! As are my brothers. _________________ Licking this cane toad was the worst flippin idea you.............whoa man that penguin just put something in your pocket. |

I enjoy trying to give them a little bit of their world in mine, there by trying to have insight into their world. The pleasure they give me is insurmountable, so I suppose I keep reptiles because they make me happy and in turn I hope I reciprocate. Hope that makes sense |

the reason why i got into them was due to moving to nottingham and one of my class room mate, that i became friends with had a snake (royal python) and i was just amazed by everythink about it!so i started nagging my parents for a few months but my dad didnt and still doesnt like snakes so i went for a pair of leopard geckos and it really went off from there!the thing i really like about the reptiles i keep is that after a stressful day i can go out to my shed and just get some out and relaxs me. another reason why i like reptiles is that i am always learning day in day out! _________________ just a couple of reptiles! to keep me out of trouble! |

because reptiles are fascinating beautiful and enchanting creatures who are very misunderstood and so keeping them helps others to learn and bring down the horrible reputation that snakes and other reptiles have.
Also i have Always been fascinated by all living things, i have always loved going to the zoo and seeing the more unusual animals, such as the pythons, komodo dragons, fossas, binturongs, anteaters, tamanduas etc.. It was (and still is) my dream to own a zoological collection (a zoo) to help inform the public on what beautiful creatures there are in our world, not only reptiles but all animals and to show them what we are doing to our worlds wildlife.
Also they are much more interesting than the other animals that are available such as hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, cats, mice and rabbits (i would know i have kept all of them). _________________ Tom
