I'm just bumping this thread quickly. This question goes to anyone who keeps pygmy chams under halogen lighting....

Do live plants grow alright under the halogen lights? I am getting a pair of R.brevicaudatus on Monday or Tuesday and was considering UV...I'd like some nice live plants in the viv, so will this work if I go for halogen?

Joe i think halogen is ok for them i use those 25watt desk lamps with no problems, another alternative is a 2% uv compact bulb, my plants flourish, u get the odd one that croaks but most plants thrive Very Happy

Hi!
I know, this is a bit old topic but... anyone knows how difficult is find CB Brookesia species? I'm more interested in stumpffi and superciliaris. I haven't heard that many people have those and I know that no one in Finland has those.

I'm only making a bit searching before deciding anything Smile

Only one is Appendix I (B. perarmata), the rest Brookesia sp. are in Appendix II.

Ooooh yes...permata are beautiful! Maybe one day Very Happy I'd rather they were protected in the wild and existed there safely, than me having a pair (now matter how stunning they are) Smile

Yes, I won't want a WC couple (or group), I rather want them to be in the forest in Madagascar than collect and take away. Have to start to look for them, I already got on tip Very Happy

Let me know if you find anywhere good to get some. I'd love some more unusual pygmy chams Very Happy
