I'm just bumping this thread quickly. This question goes to anyone who keeps pygmy chams under halogen lighting....
Do live plants grow alright under the halogen lights? I am getting a pair of R.brevicaudatus on Monday or Tuesday and was considering UV...I'd like some nice live plants in the viv, so will this work if I go for halogen? |

Joe i think halogen is ok for them i use those 25watt desk lamps with no problems, another alternative is a 2% uv compact bulb, my plants flourish, u get the odd one that croaks but most plants thrive _________________

Hi!
I know, this is a bit old topic but... anyone knows how difficult is find CB Brookesia species? I'm more interested in stumpffi and superciliaris. I haven't heard that many people have those and I know that no one in Finland has those.
I'm only making a bit searching before deciding anything _________________ Madagascar - All things bright and beautiful and a little more besides |

Only one is Appendix I (B. perarmata), the rest Brookesia sp. are in Appendix II. _________________ Madagascar - All things bright and beautiful and a little more besides |

Ooooh yes...permata are beautiful! Maybe one day I'd rather they were protected in the wild and existed there safely, than me having a pair (now matter how stunning they are) _________________

Yes, I won't want a WC couple (or group), I rather want them to be in the forest in Madagascar than collect and take away. Have to start to look for them, I already got on tip _________________ Madagascar - All things bright and beautiful and a little more besides |

Let me know if you find anywhere good to get some. I'd love some more unusual pygmy chams _________________
