That's exactly what i seen rick. It is the first time that iv seen it and was just curious as to what stage this was in reproduction.
Thanks for the link it has cleared up some confusion. I was googling most of the day yesterday and found very little info on reproduction with lobster roaches. |

Yes I have not read that anywhere else and just assumed when they stuck the tube out it was when they gave birth to the live ones. Clever ole things aren't they. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

Anyone unsure of the proceedure from fertilisation up to birth... Go to the article "B. dubia" by Herp Boi where I have added a footnote that will make it all clear. NOT YOU RICK... I know you`ve already been there.lol. _________________ Dave Messer @ Insectsunlimited.

GJ... If you Email me @ djmesser@ntlworld.com I can send you one of my "lobster" care sheets. These are not compilations of other peoples but written up myself on 5 years observations & experiences. General care is the same for most but I have sheets for most of the commonly kept (if I`ve bred & kept them, that is) which explains all their individual habits, temps, substrates etc. They also explain from fertilisation to "birth". Some retract the ootheca (egg case) & "give birth" to live young, others lay all their eggs in the ootheca... & just discard & abandon it. Any queries, don`t hesitate to ask, Rick will bear me out... I`m not just another dipstick... & I do know what I am talking about. Regards... Dave. _________________ Dave Messer @ Insectsunlimited.
