I was led to believe that because of a high fat content they shouldn't be fed as a staple diet.what's mean't by staple? i feed them once or twice a week, but i know my male panther would eat them every day. |

Staple I guess would mean the main food given on a regular basis such as daily. I would think once or twice a week would be ok. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

Thanks for that Scott, never crossed my mind to offer a rodent, I just give them tonnes of veggies. Bought loads today so might try to culture them.
My beardie adores them, well he is a lazy so-in-so and chasing crix is such hard work lol. He gets excited when he see's the tub of morios, which for me is fantastic to see because he is a grumpy bum |

Hi There, anyone wanting to breed morio`s... go back to thread "keeping mealworms plump" by budsteam & I have explained the whole process & reasons from worm to beetle. Regards... Dave. _________________ Dave Messer @ Insectsunlimited.
It may be the early bird that gets the worm but it`s the 2nd mouse that gets the cheese. |

My Bosc has took a liking to thewe morio worms and eats a fair few as part of his mixed diet. I was just leaving them in the tub of bran supplied. Will now keep them in a suitable tub with feed etc.
Jeez i thought they looked mean, how many would it take to munch a small mouse down fellas?
My missus will have even more nightmares about getting eaten alive by the feeders now! LOL _________________ Just a collector/lover for now |
