Nor can I normally, I don't tend to write dates on any egg boxes, that way I don't notice how long they take....I had to search the forum for the date they were laid Embarassed

Hi Scott,

I also breed with R.chahoua ( I have a 2.2). The eggs do take their sweet time to hatch but trust me it's wurth the wait! One egg took 139 days to hatch with a average temperature off 23-25 degrees Celcius.

I've written a seven page article about this species in Dutch (unfortunately). But I have written an Englisch summary, maybe it will be of some help:

Quote:
Summary
Experience with Rhacodactylus chahoua.
The husbandry of Rhacodactylus chahoua is described. This is a gecko of New Caledonia, with a length up to 25 cm. The animals are housed in pairs in terrariums of 40x40x70 cm (lxwxh). The bottom is covered with cocopeat or peat-dust mixed with Sphagnum and the terrarium is fitted up with hollow branches of the cork-tree and artificial plants. In their natural environment it rarely gets warmer than 30°C, temperatures as low as 4°C in the night are possible. Temperatures in the terrarium range from 18-30°C, depending on the season. There is no additional heating. Humidity ranges from 60-80%. Every day one corner of the terrarium is sprayed with water.
The animals are fed with several kinds of insects and other arthropods, gastropods, worms, pinkies, fruit and fruit-mix (Olvarit), sometimes mixed with “Crested gecko diet”. The insects are dusted with calcium-lactate or calcium/vitamin supplement (Gistocal), the fruit-mix is supplemented with calcium-lactate.
During November the day-length was decreased from 12 hours to 8-9 hours, at temperatures of 18-23°C during the day and 17-20°C during the night. In January day-length was increased again to 12 hours, after which copulation was seen. At the beginning of March eggs were laid. The eggs were incubated at temperatures of 23-25°C during the day, slightly cooler during the night. The eggs have thick shells, so many juveniles can’t hatch independently. An egg, opened after 119 days, contained yolk and a living young, that died after several days. Another egg hatched after 139 days. When eggs are buried completely in the substrate there are less problems. The incubation-temperature determines the gender of the offspring, 25-27°C results in only males, whereas 27-29°C results in equal numbers of both sexes (HENKEL & SEIPP, 2000). Rearing the juveniles gives no problems.
This animal is good to keep in captivity, but is not suited for beginners.

The complete article (in Dutch) can be seen here :http://www.rhacodactylus.nl/Informatie/Rcha houa/Rchahoua.php

Best of luck and keep us posted!
