Rick....you are unlucky aren't you
I can't really delete the advert based on a late delivery, I have got to try and keep the adverts as fair and unbiased as possible (trust me it's hard there's a few plonkers and p155takers that I would like to ban!)
Fingers crossed you goods turn up soon with a simple explanation.
Have you directed Dan and Jorge to this thread? _________________

Yes fair play Scott, I understand your reasoning on this. I am just feeling a tad reactive at the moment due to previous experiences. Lets hope its all innocent. I have given Dan the heads up. As it's not fair on him, he obviously did not know this George was using his website from his email response to me! So summit is not right!
I would just like to meet some of these people face to face.
Yes my middle name is lucky; but I still hold firm that the majority of peole I deal with are 100% decent folk and I refuse to let a few isolated incidents put me off! I have met some terrific people via the herp world that more than makes up for the ijeets I have encountered.
Being somewhat like an elephant, no, not big and grey with huge ears, I have a long memory and wont forget those I have had problems with.
I look forward hopefully to being able to post up that this is all a genuine confused mistake and that all is well and innocent. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

Rick.
Have you thought that its probably Royal Mails fault. I ordered a bulk of quality Tortoise food a few weeks ago and it came 15 days later. Even the second parcel that I had to order came before the first.
It is a mix-up that Jorge is using my website in his adverts, he has his own site which he should be posting a link to, rather than mine.
I can assure you that Jorge is a very honest person and, like Taben, I can also vouch for the cockroaches that he sells.
I don't think that it is clever posting his address on a public forum, maybe Scott can remove it? I certainly wouldn't be happy if this happened to me. You are tarring a very decent persons' name through no fault of his own and it makes me sick when this happens, I have experienced it first hand myself.
A LOT of experienced people have discontinued posting on UK forums because of the rubbish that they have to put up with. A LOT of breeders are refusing to sell things to UK people anymore because of the way the 'market' is here. These people are destroying the hobby here.
Thank you for alerting me to this topic. If you have any more problems please email me. |

I can see your point but no response from George and using your website without your knowledge appears suspicious to me and if you read my posts I am not accusing him of anything and have stated that I hope it is A GENUINE MISTAKE AND WILL BE HAPPY TO POST ABOUT THIS IF THIS IS THE CASE.
To date no roaches have arrived and I have had no response from George. So once again, I acknowledge your points, thank you. I also strongly defend my right to voice my experiences. This is about this incident not about your other issues that you raise, so lets stick to the point in hand.
All I have said is that I find this suspicious and I still do. I have not accused him of anything so if there is nothing wrong more than Royal mail problems then I don't see the problem.
If anything as I have stated I will post if this turns out OK, then it will do nothing but boost his business anyway! As I said before lets hope this is all a genuine mistake and that it turns out OK. Nevertheless, I vehemently defend my right to voice my views. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

Ok no problem.
The cockroaches are great quality. In my experience they are packed well, arriving with fresh apple for moisture and high quality cockroach chow for gutload. They are very nutritious and received well by lower vertebrates and invertebrates; our European counterparts have turned to cockroaches over crickets as a base for herp diets for this reason. The cockroaches are also less work to keep and breed.
Failing a mistake by the courier, they have always arrived in 1-2 days.
Hope this settles your concerns.

Thank you Dan, yes I now favour cockroahces over crickets for a variety of reasons.
Looks like the roaches must be lost in transist then. I look forward to hearing from Jorge soon to inform me what has happend, as Jorge informed me a few days ago they were sent out on Monday. Rick _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

Ok thanks. I will be seeing George this weekend so will let him know that you are still having troubles. I expect you will receive a 'Lost Parcel' form from RM like I did before my tortoise food arrived over 10 days after it was sent.
Thanks,
Dan |

Right some good news. They have just this minute arrived!
They were posted out Royal mail recorded delivery first class on the 2/10/06/. Have arrived at 12.55 on the 6/10/06.
Sadly lots of dead ones due to being in royal mails care for so long, the apple slices were present and had created lots of humidity, NOT JORGES FAULT, but Royal mails fault I say without prejudice and allegedly etc.
So thank you Jorge, I am glad it turned out OK ish in the end. I would be happy to place further orders with you subject to Royal Mail PULLING THEIR FINGERS OUT.
APOLOGIES TO ALL FOR ANY ANGUISH THAT THIS SAGA HAS CAUSED.
My main concern was when communication ceased as this raised my suspicions. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

That`s a happy ending then. Royal mail mess it up often enough. Glad you got them at last Rick. Almost a good plug in the end for Jorge! I would suggest he used his own web site though. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD
