I was under the impression the leopard was the combination of 3 traits - albino, green and labyrinth(or granite, can never remember). So to have a burm het leopard would automatically make it het albino
As everyone knows i'm no burm guru so i could be wrong, it's just what i was told by burmese breeders on the other side of the pond. _________________ TFA

no idea, I thought the leopard was first produced by Geoff Clarke, I know I remember seeing what looked like a baby leopard at his way over 10 years ago. _________________

Yeah, wasn't that the one they showed on the burmese python book cover? I am pretty sure that "strain" never proved out or there was some other problem?
What is more likely is some American has come up with a combination of traits and decided "ooh i'll call it a leopard" and not known/cared about the other leopard burm out there, hence creating this confusion. _________________ TFA

Thanks for all the kind words and greetings guys/ gals. Nice to meet you all. The leopard burm IS NOT het for green/ lab that was just a rumor in America, checked it out for ages and had many a heated discussion. The father of these was a 'leopard' of unproven linage and the mum was an albino. One guy in the states claims to have a line of them breeding and producing but the don't look that great, the father of my ones looks good. CPR still has the pic of the dad on their site. _________________ Just a collector/lover for now |
