I've only had him a few weeks but it has to be said he is pretty damn cool, shed again this afternoon so maybe time to get some photos after all. Unfortunately it's a 2 man job and i'm alone right now - maybe tomorrow?
As for breeding, i would like nothing more to be absolutely honest - i just can not get over how cool these are and i would desperately love to see more of them within the hobby. Of course that will never happens unless i get a girl for him.....

It`s a "Face biting" Rolling Eyes Laughing Keeled rat snake and a very cool looking one at that. Big lump of "defensive" snake. Smile

I have to make sure he doesn't see this - he'd be offended to be told he looks like a incy wincy chicken snake.

He is Ptyas carinatus, aka keeled rat snake. To my knowledge he is the only one in a private collection within the EU (would seriously like to be proved wrong on this)

Pete, you really don't want to know about his diet Wink Although initial indications suggested he was a "dangerous" little fella to work with the reality is once he is out there aren't too many problems (other than the adrenalin overload running through my body) Cool
