Yup, little bit of 'stick-strong' and they're tame
Basicly, I got him so he was comfortable on me (firstly by putting my hand in the viv. Then gently lifting him in the viv(twice a day only for about 30secs)
Once he was comfortable with that, I took him out and gently sat him on my lap/hand and after five minutes, I gave him a treat of banana (only small mouthful). Then I kept him out for another 5 mins, before putting him back. After a while doing this, he got more ad more used to me, so I retracted the treat each time.
Finally, I got him out for about half an hour, and he would happily sit on my shoulder while I watch TV (Austin Stevens of course )
Thanks! _________________

You are to be commended it's good to see that you have made the time to enrich the life of your herp! Thats how it should be!
Ok so not all herps will readily take to being tamed and perhaps it is quite right that some should not be.
But if they seek some coMfoRt and are willing to become frindly then Y not!
Good for you!
My fRANZ f. IS L;IKE THAT AND HE WILLLINGLY COMES OUT AN DNPLAYS BUT ALLWAYS ON HIS TERMS NOT AS A SHOW PIECE, MY YEMENS HOWEVER WILL COME OPUT BUT ARE FAR MORE WARY WITH THE NADLING THING SO i LET THEM DICTATE THE PACE.

Forgot to add:
It takes different amount of time for each situation, depending on the cresty, and (if you're Rick) how much you smell that day! _________________

Great if he doesn't eat it, you are left with tiny little white gloves.
I was cringing that he didn't rip his tail off

Very impressive. I have a friend who is also a second grade teacher that will be teaching about reptile in a couple of weeks. She has asked me if I could bring my two turtle for show and tell. This video would be awesome for the kids to see. Do I have your permission for her to show it to her class? |
