Good stories and similar to a story of my own.
Many years ago, a friend of mine lived in a shared house. However, one of the tenants was asked to leave because he was not paying the rent regularly.
On the morning that he was due to leave, my friend and the other tenant woke to find the guy had moved out early, and taken the television, video and stereo with him. This meant the police were called (to satisfy the landlord) and being back in the old days, they actually paid a visit to the house.
At the time of the visit, I was out in the garden working on a motorcycle with another friend. The guy who lived there opened the door to the police and was 'helping them with their enquiries', when my mate looked at me and said 'oh 'damn', the plants!', at first I didn't realise what he was talking about, but then I clicked on, the friend who was talking to the police had several Bob plants in his room doing rather nicely.
My mate leapt into action, flew through the house, up the stairs and started lobbing the plants out of the bedroom window, to where I was waiting below. I was catching the plants and lobbing them over the fence into next doors garden.
We managed to get the plants out without arousing any suspicion, but we then had to pay a midnight visit to the neighbours garden to get the plants back!. _________________ 31August2008-Kent Reptile Show (Amphibians & Inverts welcome) for more information & Booking e:mail: mrac@sky.com |

well mine wasnt a plant it was a 9oz block, me and my mate had just picked up, as we were parking a car blocked us in, I got out looking really paranoid and two plain clothes police man got out of the car I tried to quickly walk off up an alleyway but the police man said whilst flashing his badge "dont worry im a police man" needless to say my face must of gone very pale as it confirmed my worst suspicions, my mind was racing over what to do, I heard the police man saying something about stolen car blah, blah, which was a load of rubbish because it was my freinds car all registered to him and legal, next thing I know im doing my best Collin Jackson impression down the road, before getting about 50 metres and being tripped face first onto concrete.
By now I was bricking it, with images of prison going through my head, they led me back to the car fouind the cannibis and arrested me for possession with intent, luckily I only got charged with possession, my parents flipped at police coming to the door with a search warrent but they didnt find anything.
I have never been so scared as I was standing up in court, id never been there for anything so serious and the first judge wasnt the freindliest of fellows and was all up for sticking me on remand for a week whilst it was adjurned, fortunately my soliciter managed to get bail and the whole next week I was a complete mess vowing to myself I would never get myself into such a predicament again.
Going back to court it all seemed surreal like I was in a daze and of course I was the last person to go in so I had to sit there all day waiting to hear my fate.
When I went in it was a different judge and after hearing my apologies and promising I would never do anything like that again, they went out of the room to discuss what would happen, when they came back in they decided that the best punishment would be 200 hours community service and a £150 fine.
I was pretty happy at not getting sent down, and as good as my word I havnt been in trouble since, in fact I have totally changed my life around, so some good has come of my stupid teenage mistake. |
