i'm 5ft 2in. the shelving is around 6and a half feet tall, but the top shelf doesnt go right to the top, but the bottom shelf is lower to the floor. i adjusted them you see.
i also find with shelving, you need to line the shelves with something if you are using heatmats under tubs. i lined mine with newspaper. and have the mats on top of that. _________________

I'm not sure what to do, I have always had my heat mats inside the viv attached to a thermostat. He's like that at the moment and seems very happy.
I did see a vet report that said royals stand more chance of being burnt from an overhead heat source as they absorb heat best through their bellies...
I think I'll try him on the mat and if there are any problems them i will alter accordingly.

Ive heard that mats in Viv's for when they are small then ceramics for when they are bigger due to them possibly getting burnt due to the weight of then pressing on the mat. My royal is due to go into a 3ft Viv soon and id like to know what is best to use also.
At the moment its in a small RUB on a heat mat. |
