how come they are so expensive? is it just down to there not being many around? |

Pretty much. Like with any mutation, they start very expensive then drop quickly once a significant number start being produced. Since they are dominant, they are likely to drop in price even more rapidly than recessive traits (like albinos) as enigmas can be produced in the first generation from an enigma x non-enigma pairing. |
