Awesome beasties - Swallow Aquatics in East Harling (Norfolk) has one about 4ft long. Immense.

yeah, these are real monsters! Kinda a shame they are so common place in the trade, but won't go into that... you can always eat them I guess! Shocked That's a really nice looking TSN too Karen, they redescribed all of them into about 7 or 8 fish not long ago, but I think the only differences with some were the amount of spine discs or something Confused . Catfish are great though, ironically real dog like fish.

thats awesome karen,i always wanted one when i was a kid but the size of the tank needed for an adult made that an impossible wish.they used to have one in a local shop and when it was still small the used to hand feed it prawns Laughing awesome shovelnose too

surely though karen you would be very limited to how you could 'trim' a tank up for something as powerfull as a redtail??substrate would get moved plants destroyed??the only thing i could think of that would get shredded would be some large plastic pipe to simulate caves

The other half likes fish, we have a 300 litre tropical set up in our lounge.
