Cheers Jamie. Bought him for Steve Sykes @ Geckos Etc. I could do with a couple of nice female RAPTORs for him - got any available at the moment? The Mack enigma and the 'normal' enigma were bred by me, but I think you've seen pictures of them before.
Lynne: I'm not sure which one you mean, sorry |

Mack enigma (doesn't look that pale anymore but hatched black and white) -
Just realised there aren't any pictures of the normal enigma, so here is one (normal engima on left, Mack enigma on right):

Can I ask what actually identifies an enigma?
I like the albino one though!. . .
very cool _________________ Regards, Paul.

You can, although it's not easy to explain.
Enigmas often show a degree of hypomelanism (reduced spotting) on the body, and especially the head and tail - though this is not always the case. They sometimes also have speckles instead of spots. They are normally born with a couple of big blotches on the back instead of bands and little to no marking on the tail. The body colour may be pale and pastel-like, particularly in the 'normal' enigmas. The eyes of enigmas are also often different to those of non-enigmas, and of course in the red-eyed enigmas (Bell albino enigmas) the eyes are red (due to the influence of the Bell albino gene) but the body, head and tail still display black spotting.
Of course the enigma combination morphs (Bell albino enigmas aka red eyed enigmas, Tremper enigmas, Mack enigmas, super snow enigmas etc) can all be very different. |

I did notice the tail is often very white. _________________ Regards, Paul.
