the first time i went to take the hoggy out wa the first time i had heard him hiss. i was used to royals going psst psst. and here was this snake going off like nothing i had ever heard. the air belted off every side of his viv. i couldny believe it. you must record the hissing and let me hear.

If you pick him up and kiss him, he will be thanksful and not hiss to you. lol.

Love hoggies, have 2 myself. My male is up all hours, day and night and just wants to come out.

its a male i have felix, and is the same. unfortunately he has a habit off disappearing hen you go to get him. taking the mickey i think.

How old is yours? I rescued my 2 ( a female and a male) from the local rescue centre.They both are about 14 months old but besides they hiss slightly, they like to come out and sit on my hands, very tame despite the bad start of lives. .

he is around the 2 mark and is just the same. the hissing is all a bluff really. he looks so pleased with himself if it works though. well done for rescuing your 2.

thankyou johnny. he is being a wee pain and not eating at the moment, but i think the hoggies all tend to go off at this time of year. will start soon i hope.
