lol cheers roy,i used to keep a few differant species of spiders years ago but run out of space and time so they had to go,but i was given these 2 by a couple of mates so i thought id give em a whirl again Laughing cheers everyone else too Wink

ah thanks for that, when looking on google, I was wondering if some of them were labelled Avicularia versicolor when they weren't (as google sometimes does) and there was still some larger specimens that were all blue. Good to know.

I know its a bit of topic, but i've recently bought my daughter a Chromatopelma cynopubescens, some times called a greenbottle blue??. I bought it because i vagually remembered them to be similar to A versicolor in size and colour, blue and red, but hadn't kept these. But on finding the adult C pubescens i think this might be what i was thinking of describing your spiders adult colouration. Got to admit my memory must be fading because a had clean forgotten how beautiful A versicolor is! I feel a whole bunch of one species of spider coming on!!

i do love Venezuelan green bottle blues, bet your daugthers well chuffed also didnt realise they start out looking like the one in your photo interesting
