This is the background I've made so far. I'm now concerned about using PVA glue to seal it after seeing Bohan's pictures. I'll probably use the varnish unless anyone can suggest anything else.

Nice work Cool When you said day gecko I presumed a rain forest type set up and not a dessert type Laughing

Sorry. Embarassed I was going to use black sand with some dark green sand mixed in. I've made it so that I can easily remove the background to clean it. I can't decide what I want to house in it. I would like to keep some arboreal geckos but can't make my mind up what to get. I might get some cheap African house geckos or green anoles.

After I've varnished the background I'm going to add different coloured reindeer moss, Exo Terra jungle vines, plastic/silk plants and possibly some air plants

get some kind of Rhacodactylus
they look so cool and cute
and are pretty easy to care for
