They look fantastic, but Colin told me they were feisty!
Good luck with them! _________________

Absolutely gorgeous Toyah! I sure they'll settle down for you... eventually.
And hopefully it is a sign of a good feeding response. _________________ “If in doubt, just say nowt” |

I'm kinda hoping they don't calm down *too* much - I like snakes with a bit of fire to their personalities. There's no hope of them living here and not getting handled very much, so we shall see how they settle |

Lovely looking animals!
All my babies were aggressive when I first got them. After a few meals and regular handling they have all become exceptionally docile. However, from being fanatical feeders they have all suddenly stopped feeding for the past 3 months or so (they are now between 12 - 18 months old). I don't know if it's breeding related but, in my opinion, the females don't look to be up to size yet. If anyone has an explanation I'd love to hear from you.
Cheers,

Medusan,
It could well be an indication of an interest in breeding. However, at 12 months they're probably going to be a tad on the small side. However, womas have been bred at 18 months, albeit, producing a small clutch. A couple of questions.
What weight is the female? Are the pair housed together at the moment? Have you deliberately started cooling the animals?

Hi Rob
The females are 2.5 Kg and 2.75 Kg and the males average 1.5 Kg. They are now coming up to 18 months old and they have been off their food for the past 2 months. They all remain extremely active and alert. I have this week started cooling down both the Blackheads and the Womas but have not put anything together. The Womas have always been housed separately.
I'd appredciate any advice you can offer.
Cheers
