Lovely hatchling negri, looks like you will be expecting a good few more with those pearly eggs too

just got him/her in a little petpal . some kitchen roll on the bottom a little tiolet roll tube a fake plant branch and a little lid of baby food .

sound ok ?

That sounds ok yeah, it would be easier maintaing a high humidity if you used coco fibre or peat moss as a substrate though, in my opinion (compact it down VERY hard, use some sort of tamper). It's important that the hatchling sheds properly and obviously the higher humidity will help with this.

I find a good way of setting up a penpal setup or something similar is to wedge egg crates into the container so they do not touch the damp substrate, this stops the crates soaking up lots of moisture and becoming soggy. I also add some fake foliage for a bit of extra cover. The egg crates are disposable which is easy for cleaning (just replace them) and add a lot of surface area for more climbing space and visual barriers if you are grouping the hatchlings. You just need to spot clean the substrate and replace it every now and then.

Here is an example of how I set mine up, though my juvies are getting a bit big for them now :]

Congratulations Negri! Very Happy

The gecko looks great!

I swear they look so much bigger on pictures than they actually are!

My first clutch took 83 & 85 days to hatch, and I've got 2 very big eggs that look like they could come out any day now!
