ok, so are there any other advantages to this lens as well as being able to get more in the picture when still closer to the subject? I'm learning lol.

imagine sitting on a chair in front of your fish tank,say 2ft back,a normal lens will only get a small amount of the tank in focus whereas with this it would get all the tank and some..great for landscapes and buildings,cars etc..

ok so it does what it says on the tin then Very Happy How many lenses do you use nowadays?
I get my dad to send me his digital camera magazines when he's done with them, but as you can see, not a lot of it sinks in Laughing

lol..I use the telephoto mainly (100-300mm) I have my macro for....macro lol.. wide angle for pics like this etc and a medium range zoom plus a 50mm prime for low light work.

I love these photos.
Up to now Ive only been interested in finding a new camera for good macro ability, but now I see another feature I would like to play with.
What is your camera Stuart?
