thanks Lovesnakes the emps just full up not pregnant I hope Laughing

The spiders are all on coconut coir fibre except a couple that are on vermiculite, coco fibre is my preferred substrate I have used a few and find that the best especially now as I can buy the same size blocks that used to cost me £5 in the pet shop for 69p in Wilkinson so thats an added bonus Very Happy, the only problem with it is it seems to dry out quite fast but I just spray it accordingly, the P.murinus substrate is a bit drier than usual in that picture

for tarantulas I would say its the best, I have used vermiculite which is good but doesnt look natural at all and peat once but it was too messy and because its not a renewable source then its bad for the enviroment, I have used this forest floor substrate from the pet shop which was a red sandy coloured type thing I think it was a variation of coconut fibre, but it was very expensive, the stuff I got in wilkinsons was a darker brown and at 69p a block its very cheap handy when you need lots of it
