There is actually research that shows poor diet leads to lizards eating substrate, I think Francis Baines was involved - I will see what I can find out for you.

I think obviously the smaller the gecko the greater the risk and obviously vipers are a lot smaller than leo's...

Bu tyes I would imagine that diet has a lot to do with it.

I keep my vipers on sand also and i've hatched 12 this year so far and they go onto sand straight from the incubator ... havent lost any Very Happy
