ScotKitty I'm new here...

my rat snake (who i was told was male) had 2 eggs on sat, took them out and 2day she has had another 17 (i think) really excited but as i never expected this not sure what the next best thing to do is
any ideas would be great  _________________ me!!!! |

Firstly I think you need to decide whether you want to incubate and hatch them, can you cope with all those hatchlings and are able to find homes for them?
If you dont want to, put them in the freezer for a day to be safe and then bin them - it sounds harsh to some but better than having 19 hatchlings you can't cope with.
But if you do want to, you need to set up an incubater for them, a polystyrene box like goldfish come into pet shops are ideal.
You then need a heat mat on a thermostat, set to the appropriate temps, an average for american ratsnakes is between 25°C/77°F and 29°C/84°F.
What type of ratsnake is this though??
The eggs need to be in a tub like a tupperware container with a few airholes and a moist substrate like vermiculite/sphagnum moss.
Put the eggs in - do not rotate them!! and leave them to incubate, checking occasionally.
