Hi Graham, welcome.
Green water dragons very nice, but a bearded is far easier, have you thought about one of those? |

Hi Graham,
All Water Dragons, especially the Green W.D. are renowned for their tendancy to spend the majority of the time trying to escape, often leading to injuries on and around the nose. As Scott said Beardeds are a far better choice, or if you don't mind spending a little more?! Go for a Ackie, I've got a group of them and they're in my opinion more personable and interesting to watch. |

I'm gonna disagree, I've much preferred keeping water dragons, had them as one of my first lizards. If you're looking for a lizardx to handle, by all means go for a bearded dragon, as young water dragons can be very skittish. But if given a suitable size enclosure you shouldn't have much of a problem with nose bashing, nose rubbing can be prevented, or at least tried to be prevented, by putting a small layer of black cardboard around the bottom 2/3 inches of the tank, where they like to run up and down on the floor dragging their faces on the side. Plus if you've already got your heart set on it and researched it then keeping it shouldn't be a problem
Now I'm gonna go hide from Scott |

I'm gonna get ya!
lol....your not disagreeing, Water Dragons can be kept quite easily but not as easily as beardeds
If you want to go ahead with water dragons, then if you do everything right, you shouldn't have a problem (some of my first lizards were water dragons too...but then beardeds weren't available...lol). |

Many thanks for your valued comments, they've all been
noted, buts its still a Green dragon for me, sorry to disappoint Scott.
Just need to buy one, can anyone please advise me
where I can puchase it from?
Regarding its health what should I look for...clear eyes, scales...?
cheers
Graham

lol....go for it, I'm sure you'll be fine.
Can't really suggest a good shop (sorry, very rarely go to any).
Try www.reptileclassifieds.co.uk you can either post a wanted add or type water dragons into the key word box and let it search for you |
