they are definately sorting out territories, this make lead to injuries or may not.

Were they kept together previously?

Hi Scott, they were for a short time but they did fight, but they were in smaller viv though with alot less hides and climbing branches.
Awesome animals though both between 10-11inch.

All I can suggest is add as many hides and visual barriers as possible, two feeding stations and keep an eye on them.

Yep, stunning lizards....get some photos up! Wink

Am I being dense (don't answer that) or is it obvious what you are talking about?

Mark.

Great news Thomas. Looking forward to the pics. Very Happy

Personally I would keep the separate for now. Four seems a bit young to risk the chance of breeding GTs. If they're 10 - 11inches (assuming that's total length), they still have a bit of growing to do yet (which is potentially 15 inches). Another reason for keeping them separate is so you can get to know their characters and behaviour. This gives you the opportunity to know what to look for should they become stressed/upset/happy etc. when you do put them together. It's just my opinion, everyone does things differently.

Thanks Jackie,I hear that it's a myth about Koghis/Yates(type A) growing any larger than 10-11inch and it's only type C that are the true giants, and that theirs hardly any of these in captivity(Giantgeckos.com)Their is so much conflicting data, and unless they really are pure bloods it's anyones guess.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. There are that many crosses (for want of a better word) out there, it's difficult to know exactly what local you have. Unless you have reliable data from the breeder.

When the new reclassifcation comes into play, it should make things easier. I do have mixed feelings about it though. Ok all leachianus will be classed as the same in taxonomical terms, but in a sense it's still mixing types. Granted only by location. But I still think things should be kept 'pure' if we can help it. Anyway, I've gone off on a tangent now....

Hi,if you are talking about total length then 10-11 inches is not the full size of the GT "A" morphs.mt.Kogis,Yate.I have a female Yate who at 3 years old goes 13 1/4 inches total length and due to her age I feel she still has a bit growing to do yet. Most Henkeli adults will reach 10 inches T/L while some will exceed that.
