Well they are here!!! I collected what was suppose to be 2 male Egyptian Fruit bats on Friday. Decided to let them live free in the reptile room (25ft of flying space). They settled in quick and within hours had eaten two bananas and an orange.
All looking good, NO SMELL (yet), fair bit of sticky fruit on the floor though (gives the day geckos and cockroaches something else to eat). Checked them late Sunday night and it turns out they are a pair as one was carrying a baby!!!
Fantastic animals, real cute and clever. Amazing to watch fly round you.
I'll get some photos once the baby is a few weeks old. _________________

But they smell!
At some zoos, they make an egg crate style metal grating floor, so crap (very runny - yours would be too if you lived on fruit!) just falls and flows through. Enjoy sweeping it up!
Sounds like they're settled in,
Looking forward to baby pics! _________________

Well update so far,
They have settled in well, I have a mesh panel over the sink area, most of the crap drops straight into the sink
They still manage to get some up the walls but it just drys then drops off, the worst problem at the moment is the fruit that they drop on the floor...every morning I forget and treat in rotten banana
Still no smell!!! _________________
