|
|
Hi guys,
I'm after a racking system, as much as I'd like to go to winracks etc. I really can't justify that sort of spending. So does anyone know of a cheaper alternative? I've had a look at vivbuilder.co.uk but would like to see a few more before I commit to anything! |

cheapest is to build your own. If your happy with wood they are real easy. _________________

What reptiles are you looking to put in the racks.
Justify the money dude.
Everything becomes so much easier when you are racked out.
I have freedom breeder, winnick and pro-racks,all are great.
If you have any specials to be made, both john and Bernhard can accommodate.
I know that it seems a lot of money when you first purchase, but once you are racked you won't turn back!!!!!! |

lol.......erm perhaps best to pay for one then
As Taben says once you use racks you won't be disapointed.
From what I have seen the build quality on all the racks is very good, so it's just a choice of what tub size you want. Pro-racks will build to fit around any tub you choose.
I choose www.lpracks.com from Denmark as they had racking ready to send, the build and finish quality is superb and of course the sheer size of the tubs that the racks hold. Also delivery was very cheap too (all in all the racking worked out cheaper than others I had seen). _________________

A few of the smaller boid species, and to grow on ratsnakes.
If you don't mind my asking, did you get the freedom breeders from a UK supplier?
I suppose if push comes to shove I can just buy levels at a time instead of the whole unit first off, only problem is I was planning on getting the animals after the rack was here! Must be patient! |

I have tubs from 1200mm wide down to 220mm wide.
The freedom breeder racks come from a good Friend of mine,Giovanni at herprofessional in Italy.
He is the main European agent.
As for livestock i only have boids, but a few of the rare rat snakes are starting to flick my switch.
Currently i have 20 rack systems, the smallest amount of tubs in one system is 8 and the largest amount in one system is 200.
I have over 750 tubs, only 480 of these are for hatchlings/neonates,not to mention the Viv's dotted about every ware.
I would need an aircraft hanger to house my collection in Viv's.
Take the plunge and you will be pleased that you did.
Only problem with racks is that they take up so little space that you can all ways find room for one more. |
