Crested geckos are one species, Rhacodactylus ciliatus.
'Fired up' means when they are showing their best colours, this is normally at night. They can change from a dull brown to a bright red during the night.
There are many different colour 'morphs' but it has not yet been figured out how the different morphs work when bred with each other.
Crested Geckos are one of the easiest geckos to keep, requiring moderate heat (76f - 24c), NO uv and can be fed a non-insect diet (t-rex CGD). _________________
