Lets hear everyones, no one could beat mine for lameness!! It was from a rough scaled sand boa (Eryx conicus)...stupid me at a tender young age fell thought the head was in fact the tail when trying to pick it up, bit of a schoolboy error
I hated that dam snake _________________ Regards James Stroud |

First reptile to bite me was a common or viviparous lizard (the first of many!) that I caught as a child. I remember being totally shocked by it as it was by no means the first one I had ever caught, not by a mile, just the first feisty one I had caught. Didn`t hurt of course.
First captive reptile to bite me, again as a child, was a Tokay. It just did not occur to me, at that age and level of experience, for one second that it might. Of course it did, and yes it DID hurt too! _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

Sorry to lower the tone, Pete was that at a bar called Loathsome?
I was bitten by my first true love. Alison Carpenter I was 15! I still have the scars where she broke my heart. Sorry but my therapist said to discuss this at every available opportunity, thank you.
When I was a kid I was always searching out insects etc. One day I found, and I kid ye not, the biggest ever grasshoper I HAD EVER SEEN IN ALL MY LIFE, IT WAS FICKIN HUGE BIG TIME. Do you get the point it was a big M/F. I picked it up and held it in my hand, it bit me big time, so I let it go. No one believed me as I was a kid when I told them about the huge hopper! But is was seriously huge. I've never ever seen one that big again to this day!.

ouch!
Well, first ever was a crested gecko
I nudged a cricket it was hunting, so it would pounce, and the crik jumped away, leaving a juicy finger
Didn't hurt.
Second was a wild anole, that was mahosive- 40 cm long.
vicious too.
kinda hurt a bit, hardly as tegu though. _________________

How about a scorpian sting, does that count as a bite?
I had a emperor scorpian many years ago, it was kept under a uv 'black light', this made him glow bright emerald green (amazing if you have never seen this!) Anyway, being a young teenager we had a party...lots of alcohol and people....so I decided to show the scorpian to a few people...little bugger stung me in the arm...I couldn't move it for a few hours and it was totally numb. Woke up the next day with a headache but I think that was the booze _________________
