this Varanus brevicauda hatched this week (I was incubating an egg for a friend while his incubator was being repaired).

that clutch of varius is due to hatch late June/early July. I have another clutch due to hatch a month or so later.

The varius hatchlings would be able to eat this brevicauda hatchling without it even touching the sides as it went down!

Seriously though, thanks for posting.

Have you any info on how you are keeping, and incubation or any other tips etc.

there are a few V.varius in Europe, hopefully enough to maintain a viable colony.

I have stacks of info, yes. Too much to type into a forum in one go, though, but I am happy to answer specific questions. A pretty full description (short of the incubation info, but I can answer questions on that, too) will be published in the next Bonn symposium proceedings, along with some photos. I was in Europe in October for the conference and saw some of the European V varius stock.
