Hi Guys,
Had a clutch of 4 eggs from a het pied to het pied pairing (bought as 66% possible het pieds with markers) hatch last night and this morning. Had 2 normal looking eggs, one small egg that looked like a nipple, and one egg that started to discolour and weep after week 2 of incubation, well the 2 normal eggs and the small nipple like egg hatched to give possible het pieds, and the weeping egg that we thought we were losing hatched to give a beautiful pied!!!
Pics attached of the pied, will post more when he/she is out of the egg!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. We can't wait to see him/her out of the egg! It's been a great day so far, have hatched 1 pied, 1 bumblebee, 1 pastel and 2 het pieds!!! And... we still have the evening to go.
This makes the current hatchling list..
3 Cinnys
2 Bumblebees
4 Pastels
1 Pied
3 Het Pieds
and last but not least 1 Normal.
Still 11 eggs to go |
