Well sometimes it's a great feeling to be proved wrong Laughing My spider female laid her clutch last night. 6 eggs weighing 632 grams. One egg looks probably infertile (very spongy feel to it) but the other 5 look great.

I'm hoping it was the lesser male that took and am pretty sure it will be as the Pinstripe only went in right at the very end but you never know Laughing (well not for another 55 days anyway Cool )

Thanks Jon Laughing

15 clutches just means I'm very lucky Cool Laughing

It's an interesting point though Jon, I had a conversation with someone last week and the suggestion was that someone who produces 50 to 100 young from a species was bordering on being commericial, I suggested that perhaps the person could actually argue that they are just dedeciated to their hobby and passionate about producing new mutations and the only realistic way of doing that was to produce a large number to allow for a greater chance ofthe mutation appearing. After all you could also say someone with a collection of just one pair of 30 - 40 species would also be commericial when in fact they are just passionate about keeping multiple species (much like a stamp collector collects 10'000s of stamps..when the fact is a stamp is a stamp as much as a snake is a snake Wink Laughing )

Also think of how many koi are produced by hobbyists just to find that ONE special fish Laughing

BTW can you let me know when that money arrives, sent last week sometime.

LOL...

It is a very interesting point, what is a farm?

From your post it seems to suggest as soon as you are commercial you are classed as a farm?

There are allot of misconceptions about farms and what they really are.

Freek Nujt calls his facility a farm.

Looks like you are off to a good season.

I am off to pohnpei, micronesia tomorrow (yipee) so will look at the bank in the morning as our flight isn't until late evening.

Cheers

Jon

I do love to see photos of Royals on their eggs and whilst I agree 100% with incubating the eggs separately, it seems a shame to remove them Rolling Eyes Well done Scott.

Keep emailing about Lesser, I am not Spam Embarassed Rolling Eyes
