Right so, first thing is - is it HOG or HOGG island cos I keep seeing it different ways! Is there a definitive answer or are they just used interchangeably?
Here she is anyway, her name is Audrey and she is about 2 and a half months old. Hope you like her.

Lovely Boa.

With reference to your question regarding 'Hog' or 'Hogg', I do not know for sure which is correct, however, if I am not mistaken, one explanation could be that the Hog/Hogg Island Boa is found in the Cayo De Cochino, which are, I believe, two Islands in South America (one larger than the other), in the Honduras region. A translation of 'Cochino' from Spanish to English, is 'Pig' or 'Sow'.
So these Islands are known as the Little Pig Island and the Large (Grande) Pig Island.
Add to that the fact that 'Hog'/'Hogg' are both accepted spellings of another word used for Pigs. With this in mind, one can only assume that either spelling is correct, and it is just a case of personal preference.

I may well be wrong, and I am sure that if I am, somebody will be along shortly to correct me. Therefore, don't quote me on any of the above. Rolling Eyes
