Is it just me or is there loads of burms for sale lately?...Wondering if this is down to people not realising what they were buying into or just a coincidence...any thoughts?

i would never contemplate taking on a snake this size unless i had had it since it was a baby and knew its wee idiosyncrasies!! (big word eh?). its such a shame people dont think before they buy.

there aren't that many for sale given the hundreds (maybe thousands) that must be sold each year.

Maybe its a seasonal thing.

I have a couple up for sale myself due to various reasons - I still have 6 that I am keeping though !

You never see any really big ones up on the classifieds though - any ideas why not 16ft females for instance ?

i dont have any experience with them johonny. but if everyone thought like NJM there wouldnt be so many unwanted when they hit the large mark. i would think twice about one, cause i am just wee, and although i can chuck a bale of hay around, i think it would be mighty differant with one of these if it decided to get stroppy. i do like them though. i was holding one once, well it was sitting on me, and it took in the biggest breathe iv ever felt then let out a hiss that went on for 5 minutes. not at me i hasten to add. but if it had decided to have a go at who he was hissing at, i couldnt have stopped him.
